Need a QA Compliance Auditor Requirement
Location: NYC
Duration: 6 months
*Work*: Candidate will be the primary QA compliance auditor for the project
in *Brooklyn, NY*. However; occasional travel to the school(s) for on-site
inspection work should be planned for, approximately 1 or 2 days per week.
*Tasks*: Provide quality assurance auditing services to the client for their
IPDVS project. The objective of these tasks is to determine if the work of
the DVS installation vendors is complete, correct, and followed the design
specifications and standards. A deliverable report will be issued accepting
each job as completed or issuing punch-lists to the vendors for items noted
as deficient and requiring work/re-work to bring them into compliance.
*Environment*: 1) The client requires all consultants to work on-site (at
data center, or in a school), no remote work is authorized.
2) Candidate must work on-site Mon-Fri for a 9 hour
day. (8 chargeable hours +1 hour mandatory lunch period).
3) Dress is business attire at data center,
business casual if working in a school.
The primary repeating sub tasks are:
A) Review school server setup and configuration parameters (OS, UPS, RAID
arrays)
B) Review IPDVS application software configuration parameters associated
with each unique school.
C) Review physical installation of cameras for focus, alignment, field of
view, lens selection and lighting. (Includes appropriate bracket and mount
selection).
D) Review encoder configuration, firmware level and port mapping
documentation.
E) Review rack infrastructure build and installation for air flow, rail
installation, and equipment positioning from cable management and
serviceability perspective.
F) Review vendor submittals for completeness and accuracy: Network &
Electrical As-Built and asset data, User and Workstation form, Floor plan
map files and OS License files.
G) Manage and maintain all individual punch-list & acceptance reports along
with an overall QA summary of all sites on the customer SharePoint portal
and corollary databases.
The secondary less frequent sub tasks are:
A) Host monthly assessment meetings with the School Construction Authority
and associated vendors, OSYD and DIIT.
B) Prepare bi-annual lessons learned presentations for the customer and
vendors to communicate best practices information and common assessment
faults with a goal of reducing future installation and configuration errors
and the associated cost of corrective actions and/or rework.
