Windows Eng (SR) Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Engineering support for both large and small scale data center implementations Support of Data Center migrations, planning and associated activates Create and maintain the appropriate operations and support documentation Proactively monitor and manage server environments Required Knowledge and Skill Qualifications: Hands on experience with up to date knowledge of enterprise server security and patch management, based on industry standards and best practices. Working knowledge of enterprise Backup technology and specific comparative knowledge of industry standard enterprise Backup software and hardware. In depth knowledge with hands on experience working with monitoring technologies. In depth knowledge with hands on experience working with Enterprise server operating systems including: Installation and configurations best practices, procedures and documentation Driver management Imaging processes including understanding of SysPrep command and it’s options Server management and trouble shooting techniques Windows Active directory and monitoring Working knowledge of Web architecture and system architecture Strong knowledge of load balancing techniques and best practices: Hands-on experience with server rack systems to include: How to calculate U space utilization based on CFM air flow How to correctly rack mount a server with cable management ipKVM usage and configuration Rack placement planning Rack Power calculations, balancing and utilization HP/Compaq specific hardware options for rack mount systems Hands-on experience with managing Remote systems, to include experience with: Remote ipKVM, Remote management of Eye-and-Hands services, DameWare, Terminal Services (both Admin and Application modes), Remote management of Vendor interactions for Hardware and Software support services Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL to including but not limited to Installation of Standard SQL Server, Enterprise SQL Server Cluster and Client tools install · Experience with Single Sign On Network Eng (SR) Firewalls Cisco ASA 5510 Cisco ASA 5520 Cisco PIX 515 Lucent HW Load balancing (specifically F5) HP and Cisco Switches -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
