*Under limited supervision, responsible for developing, maintaining, and
providing moderately complex financial information, plans and projects
utilizing knowledge of traditional financial theory. Performs analysis of
financial studies and prepares summary reports for management. Makes
recommendations for financial policies and guidelines to improve company's
financial position. Prepares comprehensive reports and projections on
financial performance of company. Typically reports to Financial Planning
Manager or finance executive. Typically requires a college degree and 1 to 3
years related experience or an MBA degree.;*

*Teradata Inc., a well established company with R&D operations based in San
Diego, is looking for a motivated, self starting and experienced individual
to assist in a variety of accounting and finance functions at our office in
Rancho Bernardo. The candidate needs to have a working knowledge of accrual
accounting, General Ledgers, month-end and year-end close demands, be able
to independently deal with accounting issues, and recommend appropriate
accounting treatment in response to business events. In addition, the
candidate should also possess Financial Planning and Analysis experience
with regards to preparing outlooks, plans and variance analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Account Reconciliation • Accrual Accounting/Journal
Entries • Expense Forecasting and Planning • Account Variance Analysis •
Other Projects as assigned SKILLS: Skills and attributes for this position
are as follows: good verbal and written communications; organizational
skills; interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and comfortable working with
numbers; Excel and PC skills; systems aptitude; Oracle ERP, Business
Objects, and Pillar experience helpful; strong analytical and problem
solving skills; results-oriented; self-motivated; capacity to learn quickly;
and ability to work effectively in both team and self directed work
environments. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Thorough knowledge of accounting
principles and practices, FASBs. • BS/BA degree Accounting PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS ● Minimum of 5 years full-time accounting experience • Local
candidate • US permanent resident ● CPA or professional accounting
qualifications a plus Possible conversion to TD full time with right
candidate.  *
