*Description*
Analyzes, develops, tests and implements database designs in support of
corporate and client area technology requirements. Performs data modeling,
logical and physical database design. Includes maintenance of database
dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures, access methods and
time, validation checks, organization and statistical methods. Responsible
for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity
planning, and backup and recovery. Executes database software installation,
database creations/configurations and loads.
Development Tools Linux No 1 Expert 9-10 Currently Using 6 + Years
Development Tools Solaris No 1 Expert 9-10 Currently Using 6 + Years
Packaged Applications MS Office No 1 Intermediate 5-6 Currently Using 6 +
Years
Specialties Veritas No 1 Expert 9-10 Within 6 Months 4 - 6 Years
Additional Skills: Senior level Systems Administrator (SA) who will support
all Bear Sterns merger related work activity for 2010 for the following
businesses - Rates, SPG, and ASG. Skill set requirements excellent
communication and planning skills. Experience must include large server
migration efforts including server forklift moves across data centers and
the ability to work with the Applications Developments teams in terms
technical planning. Ability to effectively work under tight time lines and
pressure as well as demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting project
schedules
Technical expertise needs to include the latest versions of Solaris, Red Hat
Linux, and Veritas
This is not a Production Support role. This role will support all new build
work activity for O/S and Veritas clustering work activity required to move
/ build out new production and disaster recovery infrastructure.
