Description: 

 

Senior Java Developer Responsibilities: . 

.         Design, develop and implement new multi-tiered application
functionality for traditional web and web services based financial
applications. . 

.          Maintain existing Java code while adhering to appropriate coding
standards, software development methodologies and process flows. . 

.         Work in collaborative team environment with Developers, Business
Analysts, Data Analysts and Product Managers to ensure successful
implementations of new services. . 

.         Investigate and resolve external production tickets and internal
QA tickets. 

.         Review and sign-off on technical high level designs, lead detailed
designs and software implementation, participate in design reviews and code
reviews, ensure unit testing and integration testing, facilitate code
delivery to production environments, analyze trouble tickets, and resolve
operation issues. . 

.         Work with QA and provide support to provide timely technical
resolutions for defects. . 

.          Setup, tune, and integrate development and test environment tools
and software as needed. . 

.         Adhere to established coding standards and adopt to the software
development Methodologies in compliance with the established SDLC process
flow. 

 

 Qualifications: . 

.         6+ years multi-tier IT development experience as a Java developer.
. 

.         Experience with multi-tiered J2EE/PLSQL large-scale applications
leveraging open source frameworks such as MVC, Struts, Spring, AOP, Tiles,
J2EE, Design Patterns, JSP\'s and Servlets concepts. . 

.         Advanced knowledge of programming language(s), software
development IDE tools (Eclipse, TOAD, Erwin) and source control
environment(s), like SVN, and systems analysis and functional design is
required, along with a thorough knowledge of database concepts, relational
database design, data modeling and system architecture, design principles
and system development methodologies. . 

.         Strong understanding of OOA/OOP, web-based technology, and
experience with BEA WebLogic desired. . 

.         Candidates must be proficient with standard JAVA (POJO)
development tools, including ANT, log4J, JUnit, JavaDoc and popular IDE\'s
such as Eclipse Plus or NetBeans. . 

.         Experience with Web Services design (SOAP, XML, RPC),
implementation and use in a commercial environment. . 

.         Programming and design capabilities with XML, XSLT and Single
Sign-on technology. . 

.         Financial Services industry knowledge is a plus. . Unix and shell
programming experience
