The chosen applicant will work with a claims team that develops, deploys, and maintains national and local application systems. In 2010, the Claims group is working on many investment projects and supporting nearly 600 application systems. Within Claims, the Internal application implements and supports Claims Processing across an enterprise environment. As Senior Programmer you will be required to analyze business requirements and design and code programming solutions. Experience working with HealthCare business clients helpful. You will be required to work with several internal organizations to coordinate the delivery of program changes within a planned release schedule. Responsibilities will include working with user groups, analyzing reported problems, performing root cause analysis and presenting alternatives to correct the problem. Responsible for creating and implementing coding solutions. Responsible to review coding changes and new code developed prior to installing into production. Position may need to work with Data Base Administration, Release Management, Enterprise Testing, User Acceptance testing. Will be required to monitor progress of assigned work, resolve development issues and provide project status information. Candidate will be working with both Operational and Financial Reports in extract development. Candidate must communicate and coordinate with several Internal departments and have good technical skills. Position may also be called upon to provide day on-call support. Some weekend work may be required during release installs, which occurs quarterly at this time.
