Engagement Description: The COMS 5.0 project is an important,
high-visibility, multi-year project. A new data model and a major new
module are being developed. The primary focus of this position is to
update the large volume of existing COMS modules, reports, and data
exchanges to the new data model.

Additional Skill Requirements: Must have the desire and aptitude for
modifying a large volume of existing code. Strong technical skills in
VB 6.0 Windows Forms, ASP Classic, ASP.NET, .NET 2.0 (or greater),
TSQL and SQL Server 2000 (or greater). Need excellent verbal and
written communication skills, discipline, excellent team collaboration
skills, and is proactive and responsive to changing business needs.
Additional technical skills desired include VB.NET , .NET 3.5, SQL
Server 2008, application integration experience with Active Directory,
SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Active Reports, and
Team Foundation Server.

General Overview
This is a Functional Analyst position supporting PeopleSoft, and other
systems utilized in the support of the Research Communities at this
organization. General responsibilities include production support,
implementation and systems upgrades.  Specific job responsibilities
include end-user support, systems and business analysis, documenting
business processes and systems requirements, designing future business
processes and systems requirements, systems configuration and systems
testing.
This client is currently on version 8.9 and this position will provide
remedial help resolving issues in the short term. They are planning an
upgrade to version 9.1 in the summer so this position will also work
on the upgrade.  Looking for a Functional PeopleSoft Analyst with
strong experience with Research.
Responsibilities
Systems Analysis: Responsible for helping to facilitate the
development of end-user requirements; documenting such requirements
and working with technical staff to implement these requirements.
Participate in testing and validating system fixes and enhancements
and assisting with user acceptance testing.  System analysis work
tends to be project-based, centered on one or more of the following
areas:

•       Implementing or upgrading a new or existing PeopleSoft module(s)
•       Implementing or upgrading other Research related applications as 
necessary
•       Assisting with the configuration of existing or new applications in
support of Research
•       Enhancing existing components of current systems (new queries, reports, 
etc.)
•       Implementing third-party products to work with Partners applications
•       Applying and testing fixes provided by vendors


Requirements
•       Must have strong business analysis experience, including systems
requirements analysis and design
•       Must have experience working on Research implementation
•       Must have experience with as many as possible of the following
PeopleSoft modules, as they relate to Research functions: Grants,
Contracts, AR, Billing, General Ledger, Projects
•       Must be knowledgeable of MS Office tools
•       General experience with interfaces is beneficial
•       Must possess good communication skills both orally and written to
provide the appropriate level of production support, communicating
issues and resolutions to all levels of staff and management
•       Must be willing to contribute as a team player, sharing information
willing and accurately
•       Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
•       Must be able to take initiative in presenting and contributing to
the resolution of complex issues
