We need someone very experienced with case tools who can manage the database development life cycle and is able to translate business requirements from analysts and developers into good relational designs. Duties: * This position has oversight responsibility for the delivery and implementation of relational database changes. * The data analyst will consult with application developers and data base administrators throughout the software development life cycle. * The data analyst will lead joint application design and joint application review sessions in order to build sound relational design concepts into software development projects. * The data analyst will accept database DDL in various forms, align them with existing logical models, and provide feedback to the application developer. * The data analyst supports the Database Administrator throughout the physical implementation of the database by managing the database life cycle as it progresses through the development, test, and production environments. Technical Skills Requirements: Minimum of 5 years' experience performing the following technical skills: * Entity/Relational (ER) Modeling * Creation and Maintenance of DDL * Facilitation of Joint Application Design/Review Sessions * Data Warehouse Design and Implementation * Oracle PL/SQL development * COBOL Programming and IMS Database Development Development Tool Experience Requirements: * 3-5 Years' Experience Modeling with CA ERWin required * 3-5 Years' Experience with Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio required * 3-5 Years' Experience Modeling with Embarcadero ERStudio preferred * 1-3 Years' Experience with Quest Software TOAD preferred * Previous experience with modeling and development of transportation database systems a plus.
