Title : Oracle DBA - HOT Requirement : Oracle DBA with upgrade exp Location : Richmond, VA Rate : $46/Hour on C2C Duration : 2 months Description: Their current senior level DBA is going out for surgery for a few weeks. So they need a DBA to come in for a few weeks to learn how they do things, work for a few weeks while he's out, then for a few more when he comes back. Need a DBA with 3-5 years of experience. Need someone with 10g and 11g experience. Someone that can do upgrades, maintanence, support. Someone who can do upgrade the database from 10g-11g and do patches. They have lists of stuff to do daily that mostly includes patches and upgrades. They have 2 DBA's on staff there that will be there while the person is there. They have access to all systems on campus, so if something goes wrong, they mess up everything, so the person can't be too junior or too loosey goosey with their work. Can't be learning on the job. Need to have Unix and Linux, AIX would be a nice-to-have. Need to have good scripting experience, need to be able to read a script and work through it.
