*** *Make sure the consultant has a Skype id, all the technical screening will be done through Skype. * * * *Rate: $45-48/hr.* *Location: Richmond, VA Contract Length 10 months * *Skills: 5+ Years Experience with: Database Technologies (SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, DB2) Data Warehousing Operational Data Stores Data Movement Tools (Ab Initio) Data Modeling Tools (ErWin) Business Intelligence Tools (Business Objects, SAS) Network Infrastructure, Design and Security Data Modeling Concepts – 3NF and Dimensional * *Responsibilities: • Provide Architecture support on Bank Data Program specifically focused on delivering: o Integrated Data Warehouse platform o Operational Data Store to support critical real-time data needs o Business Intelligence and Reporting integrated with the Data Warehouse, ODS and operational systems. o Consult on data model creation with project data modelers. o Review and approve logical and physical data models and ensure alignment with Capital One Standards and industry best practices. o Review and approve technical design documents to ensure that design aligns with architecture vision and that it addresses the following: ? Scalability ? Reliability ? Security ? Performance ? Recoverability • Develop the application architecture and blueprints which reflect corresponding business logic. • Provide guidance to projects on available Enterprise Services and other existing technology solutions as opposed to building out new infrastructure for each effort. • Develop/produce necessary architecture and associated documents for assigned projects and present the architectures in the appropriate Architectural Overview sessions. • Assess projects for level of architectural needs and review/approve design documents to ensure that they align with Enterprise and Bank standards. • Conduct reviews and analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of applications. • Participate in mapping the applications architecture to the chosen technology platform. • Define application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools. • Provide technical guidance to application development teams. Consult on integration and conversion activities. Recommend redesign or redevelopment.
