Title: OBIEE Answers/BI Publisher Tech Lead Start Date: 02/11/2010 # of Openings: 2 Position Type: Right to Hire Locations: Plano, Texas INTERVIEW:Phone screen will be followed by a Face to Face Description: Top 3 Skills/Responsibilities Required for this position: Establishes standards for the technology including identification of appropriate uses for all tools within the OBIEE Suite Researches and recommends alternative actions for problem resolution with minimal direction. Analyzes trends to proactively prevent problems. Experience: Position typically filled by candidate having 7-10 years BI related experience with 5+ years experience developing and delivering solutions using OBIEE Core Competencies: Strong partnering, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability, within a specific technology area, to independently complete root-cause analysis, design solutions, write simple or complex code, perform testing, provide documentation, and implement medium size development projects or major components of large projects. Ability to review the technical work of less senior engineers, analyze and resolve problems of large complexity Project management skills Strong customer service/team orientation. .5+ yrs hands-on experience with OBIEE suite .5+ RPD design and configuration (physical, logical and presentation) .5+ yrs experience developing OBIEE Answers and Dashboards .3+ yrs experience developing OBIEE BI Publisher solutions .Performance tuning experience .Data warehousing and modeling experience .5+ yrs BI requirements analysis/management experience .Technically led 3 or more large-scale end-to-end BI project implementations using OBIEE .Analytical and operational data modeling techniques .Data security and administration .Relational and Dimensional Database Experience; Oracle and DB2 Strongly Preferred .Designing & trouble shooting complex solutions .Broad understanding of emerging technologies within the BI space .Problem escalation and resolution. .Policy and methodology enhancements. .Develops task level estimates. .Develops program specifications. .Provides input on project schedules. Daily Job Duties: Performs design review for all projects where the technology will be utilized Evaluates and recommends emerging technologies and integration options with OBIEE. Complies with project management methodology requirements as appropriate. Develops detailed program specifications for self and others. Tests and implements systems and enhancements using techniques that meet generally accepted coding standards. Assists less senior engineers when performing system and acceptance testing. Develops accurate and reliable cost analysis estimates Interacts with business clients to define, analyze, and deliver customer requirements. Providing guidance and mentorship to new OBIEE developers. Works closely with shared service teams to deliver solution in line with corporate IT standards.
