We are building and delivering the next generation of hosting services that will provide on-demand provisioning, built in monitoring and logging, and fully elastic computing resources to host our applications, sites, and content. The core services of the Dcloud team will start off with dynamic, virtualized hosting, large scale data services, authorization services, queuing services, and dynamic key-value store services to support the secure use of all these components on the internet. Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS or equivalent experience - A minimum of 4 years or more of experience in system development, application development or related field - Experience or knowledge with Hadoop, Hbase is a plus, but not required. - Comfort and familiarity with open source projects (Apache and others) and using them in development - Java development experience with Spring, REST web services - Web application development experience - Experience with large scale sites - SCRUM software development experience - Systems administration experience a plus Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver services supporting Disney''s Dcloud initiative - cloud based hosting for Disney services and web properties. - Actively contribute to a cross-functional team to build, create and provide Hadoop/HBase as an internal service - Create next-generation data center and application hosting APIs and services to enable elastic on-demand service provisioning and scalability.
