Job Title: Production Response Project Engineer Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 6 Months Start Date: Immediately Description: Responsible for the engineering planning, design, implementation, and operation of Unix and Windows Midrange computing platforms for n-Tier application architectures. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications. Responsibilities: * Deployment of application code and infrastructure changes * Problem identification/circumvention and problem resolution * Communicate with application development teams and vendors to improve current implementations * Root cause analysis * Project work including new application/functionality implementation * Process documentation * Application groups' contact for Disaster Recovery tasks Project Support and AD Team Consultation (Primary focus) * Senior level experience with Web Platforms Web Sphere, IIS, Apache, etc. * Experience working with infrastructure back office personnel to achieve project goals including network engineers, san engineers, operating system SA, and database administrators. * Experience engineering a diverse book of work including mostly distributed UNIX and Windows application. * Experience in a large shop with sensitivity and understanding of critical tier 1 applications. * Sensitivity to the changing and often escalated needs of the business.
