Position: Project Manager
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 5 Months
Rate: $55 - 60/hr
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Must have a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a
minimum of four years experience with project management and
information technology.
2. Prior experience with LIMS software is preferred.
3. A minimum of 4 years documented experience in project management
for IT applications.
4. The candidate should have excellent technical, communication, and
writing skills.
Desirable Experience:
1. Experience working in a public agency is desired, and specific
experience in public health is a plus.
2. Highly organized and self directed; detail-oriented with no loss of
big picture objectives; results oriented, a fast learner and accepting
of change; ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
3. Expert knowledge of the key components of project management (e.g.,
scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk,
integration) and associated tools and methodologies.
4. 4+ years experience in a role as project manager leading complex,
enterprise-wide technical and/or business initiatives.
5. Experience managing multi-million dollar projects with multi-year
project time lines. Led programs/projects with multiple discipline
representation (especially technology, multiple business sponsors,
3rd-partys and vendors).
6. Experience influencing, driving and managing organizational and
operational change.
7. Experience in risk management, conflict resolution and process
improvement. Experience in multiple full project lifecycles from
business development to final delivery.
8. Strong knowledge of MS tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Visio and Project, and Clarity / Workbench project management
software.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience with LIMS software is preferred.

Position: System Administrator
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $50 - 55/hr
Please note that this is a 35 hour work week.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a hybrid position where the candidate needs to have very good
Linux administration skills along with strong WebSphere administration
skills.
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of installing,
administering and maintaining SuSe or RedHat Linux servers.
2. Five years experience in a Web based environment, IBM Websphere
3. Install and administer various server applications such as
application servers (WAS), portal (IBM Portal) and ID Management (TIM)
4. Experience in deploying web based application in a clustering
environment
5. Experience with installing open source software on linux systems,
such as apache, heartbeat.
6. Experience in monitoring the performance of the server based
hardware and software. Ability to generate reports and troubleshoot
system performance
7. Create and follow through on change control for any modifications
to the agency’s software or hardware infrastructure
8. Familiarity with HP servers. Ability to install Linux OS and
updating all the firmware needed to bring the server up to spec.
Ability to automate patching of Linux servers.
9. Ability to research open source technologies
10. Excellent interpersonal relations, communications and people skills
Desirable Experience:
1. Experience in a corporate IT environment
2. Experience in a customer-facing corporate environment
3. Understand and experience in disaster recovery, backup and restore
processes

in the support and maintenance of existing departmental systems. 24 x
7 Monitoring of system infrastructure and creating reports when
failure occurs. Deploying, testing, performance tuning and
administering the code changes to existing infrastructure.
