Role: QA Engineer
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Durham, NC {ONLY LOCALS}
Rate: $38/hr
Need a US Citizen/GC holder.
Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for creating,
implementing and automating testing across multiple components of FID
IT Structured Product applications. The QA Specialist will design,
document and implement test plans, report and manage defects, regress
software fixes, assist development with replicating and debugging
problems and develop test automation solutions as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Experience
Bachelors Degree
5+ years professional IT experience as a QA
Thorough knowledge of using Mercury QC and QTP.
Thorough understanding of automated testing
Background in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing
comprehensive test suites for system software
SQLs / Stored Procedures using Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server
Can produce high quality user and support documentation
Has experience of the software development lifecycle.
Has a continued desire to work across multiple projects whenever there
is a requirement.
Excellent communicating skills and experience supporting end users
with their day-to-days issues.
Ability to coordinate cohesively with the development/support/business
analysis team
Willingness and enthusiasm to perform in this specific role that is a
combination of developer and support specialist.
Desired Experience
Degree in Finance or Computer Science
Understanding Mortgage Backed Securities and Structured Products business
Understanding front to back Trading system
Exposure to database scripting and using simple SQL statements and
using any of the database IDEs like SQLDBX, PL/SQL developer, DB
Artisan etc.
Development skills in C# / C++
