Location: Fort Worth, TX Duration: 6+ Months Interview: Phone with a possibility of F2F (Not sure on the F2F) Client manufacture air brake systems for railroad locomotives. This position will be working on their locomotive simulators (simulators used by train engineers to drive the trains and track fuel efficiency). C/C++, Perl, and OSG knowledge is important and will be tested in a phone screen. Job Description: We are looking for a Software Engineer with a minimum 5 years experience that can work well independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, and have a focus on quality. Requirements: C/C++ Developer with the following experience: . RDBMS (MySQL, Postgress) . Linux application development . Good computer graphics skills using OpenGL, OSG . Experience in developing visualization applications . Shell/Perl scripting for automation . Cross-platform development experience a plus (Linux and Windows) . Distributed applications. Client-Server and N-tier architectures . Embedded or RTOS development a plus . POSIX Threads or multi-threading . TCP/IP socket programming .
