Rate $35/hr c2c. ** *Mandatory Skills: * Position Purpose: The Customer Service Business Analyst performs analysis and design of business systems. Acting as the liaison between the business and the development team, the Business Analyst is responsible for the logical design of business processes and systems that satisfy customer requirements. The Business Analyst may also be involved in translating logical designs into physical designs. Accountabilities also include facilitating requirement gathering meetings, defining project scope and prioritization of deliverables, documenting requirements, designs, and testing procedures as defined by our development methodology. The Business Analyst remains involved throughout a project's lifecycle and is ultimately responsible that project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business. The Business Analyst will be required to perform small scale development work related to enhancements on existing mainframe systems. *Primary Skills* · 7 years experience working in large size companies as business analyst/technical analyst within an IT organization · 5 years experience on mainframe using the following technologies and products: DB2 (including DB2Batch, DB2 utilities, and stored procedures), COBOL, TSO, JCL, IMS-DC, Focus · Experience in data analysis, data modeling, SQL, user interface design, use case diagrams and Microsoft Office tools · .Past experience in helping business find and implement web-based solutions · Experience in business process mapping on ''as is'' and ''to be'' · Experience in facilitating JAD or similar type sessions with business and IT staff to define requirements · Customer focused - excels in building long-term relationships with customers. · Develops positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members. Is seen as a team player. · Able to prioritize objectives, set personal goals and complete tasks within deadlines while maintaining focus between tasks. · Communicates effectively utilizing strong presentation and written skills. · Able to translate complex information into common terms. · Able to facilitate meetings with representatives from multiple business units. · Explores innovative solutions while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction. · Is self-motivated and maintains a strong work ethic. · Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Test, etc. · Experience with performing quality assurance task related testing to include creating test cases, executing tests, providing validation, problem reporting, and resolution · Ability to analyze data, recognize trends, formulate conclusions and make recommendations · Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving skills with extreme attention to detail · Excellent verbal, written, presentation, listening and interpersonal skills. · Ability to interpret ERD diagrams and create high level presentation material. *Secondary Skills:* - The manager is looking for a Business Analyst, but for a period of time this person will need to also contribute in a technical capacity. - Positive attitude, ethics, and International Values which support our company's values and a healthy, high performance culture. - Ability to identify and integrate appropriate products and processes into customer solutions. - Knowledge of development methodologies including working with an offshore model for development and support. - Experience in project management. *Duties:* - Participate in business and system planning sessions (defining new integration points will operate) - Proactively work with various business application owners to understand and document business requirements - Create business requirements and system functional requirements documents - Translate functional business requirements into technical specifications focusing on integrated and reusable solutions - Assist/define project scope and prioritization of deliverables - Assist with development plan and cost estimates - Coordinate tasks with offshore and onshore development teams as necessary - Participate in and/or facilitate design review sessions to seek out alternative solutions and best practices - Generate significant new processes and functions that improve the integration of multiple activities - Promote and develops reusable models for delivery *Required Education/Experience:* - BA/BS degree or equivalent - 7 years experience working in large size companies as business analyst/technical analyst within an IT organization.
