Response Time: Immediate Requirement: Title: Java Architect Position: 2 Duration: 8+ months Location: Elk Grove, IL Interview: Immediate Description: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading software development projects. - Experience with Java development, object oriented analysis and design. - Experience working with multiple RDBMS systems. - Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills. - Experience with and the understanding of multiple United Operations systems a plus. - Prior experience in working in a highly matrixed environment. Knowledge of or experience with most of the following: - J2EE 1.6, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), WebServices, Servlets, Struts , JSP, JSTL and Custom tags, JDBC, Java Beans, XML, XSL, XSD, JMS, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, Style Sheets, SQL, Maven, Subversion, CVS, Castor, Axis, JAXB, MVC architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Unix Shell scripting, Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and patterns, WebLogic, Business Rules Engines, TIBCO - Serve as a lead solution architect for all phases of multiple Airport Operations projects. - Serves as a single point of contact for all technical aspects of the projects and takes the project from the design through final implementation. - The candidate selected will be an expert in application systems architecture; will have undertaken and successfully delivered complex projects requiring specialized technical knowledge. - Be comfortable and effective in interacting with architects and developers from multiple application teams. This project will require the candidate to lead the solution design for a number of systems, involving multiple disciplines that will impact multiple business units. - Makes well thought out decisions on complex or ambiguous IT architecture and software design issues. Coordinates with business analysts and users to determine functional requirements. - Effectively leads an onsite and off shore development team.
