* Over 7+ years of extensive experience in Database Design,
Programming, Development and Implementation of Client-Server Applications &
Database systems using MSSQL 2000/2005/2008 for both Data warehousing
applications & OLTP.
* Strong Experience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 with BI in
SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, OLTP & OLAP.
* Strong Knowledge in Interpreting and working with data models, data
flows and data dictionaries, logical & physical Data modeling, data
architecture design etc.
* Strong Experience in Data Marts, Data warehousing, Operational Data
Store (ODS), OLAP, Data Modeling like Dimensional Data Modeling, Star Schema
Modeling, Snow-Flake Modeling, FACT and Dimensions Tables using Analysis
Services and worked with Normalization and De-Normalization techniques for
both OLTP and OLAP systems.
* Expert in creating Tables, Views, User Created Data Types,
Functions, Data Dictionary, Indexes, Stored Procedures, Cursors and
Triggers.
* Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis & design of
ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SSRS.
* Experienced in extraction & migration of data from heterogeneous
data sources like Excel, MS Access, Oracle, DB2 to MS SQL Server by using
import/export Wizard, DTS/SSIS, and BCP & Bulk Insert utilities, Optimized
queries using SQL Profiler and Database engine tuning advisor.
* Extensive experience in creating ETL packages using SQL Server 2005
Integration Services (SSIS) and scheduling packages, Fuzzy Look-up for
cleaning bad data, validating data using SSIS.
* Expertise in using multiple transformations provided by SSIS such
as script component, Look UP, Data Conversion, Conditional Split, Bulk
Insert, merge and union all, slowly changing dimension wizard and many more
to transform the data before loading into the destination.
* Experience in providing Logging, Error handling by using Event
Handler, and Custom Logging for SSIS Packages.
* Experience in Database Administration, Management using RDBMS such
as SQL Server under WINDOWS environment.
* Designed complex SSAS cubes with multiple fact measures groups, and
multiple dimension hierarchies based
on the OLAP reporting needs.
* Strong knowledge in Developing cubes using Partitions, KPI's, and
Perspectives, and created various user roles and Versatile in BIDS
(Business Intelligence Development Studio), Query Analyzer, Profiler, SQL
Server Management Studio(SSMS),SSIS,SQL Server Analysis Services(SSAS), SQL
Server Reporting Services(SSRS) etc.
* Developed MDX queries for Analysis Services & Reporting Services.
* Good experience in Installation, Configuration, Development,
Deployment and Troubleshoot Reporting services using SSRS 2000/2005/2008
across various environments
* Expertise in generating drill down reports, parameterized reports,
linked reports, sub reports, matrix dynamics and filters, charts in SSRS
2005/2008
* Experience in creating Ad-hoc reports, data driven subscription
reports by using Report Builder in SSRS.
* Writing MDX Scripts to create datasets to perform reporting and
included interactive drill down reports, report models and dashboard
reports.
* Experience with .NET framework using ASP.NET, C#, XML and ADO.NET
database connectivity.
* Experience in MS SQL Server configuration, performance tuning,
client/server connectivity, query optimization, back-up/recovery, running
Database Consistency Checks using DBCC.
* Involved in developing test plans and test scripts to test the data
based on the business requirements.
* Developing UNIX scripts for pre data manipulation.
* Provide support for the Critical issues like Server Failures and
Database inconsistencies like Database Log File full, Suspect, Offline,
Missing log files etc
* Good team player, strong interpersonal and communication skills
combined with self-motivation, initiative and the ability to think outside
the box.
