Title: QA Tester with FIXED INCOME
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE BROKERAGE AND FIXED INCOME EXPERIENCE!!!
Description: Purpose of role This Contractor will be responsible for the
accurate testing a Fixed Income Trading platform.
Candidate is required to plan and perform test execution as well as interact
with project management and application development.
Core accountabilities Responsible for the validation of a Fixed Income
Trading platform Perform Software Testing in support of schedule objectives
Create test plans for assigned projects and applications. Develop test cases
based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications.
Develop testing standards for assigned projects and applications.
Build SQL queries to validate data Maintain existing test plans and test
cases based on code changes and enhancements to assigned applications
Validate complex performance calculations Perform Regression Test planning
and execution Track issues and work with project managers and application
developers to resolve. Create and send issue reports to project team and
management during test cycles.
Contribute in the development of knowledge transfer documentation
Supervisory responsibilities None Key clients (internal and external) Build
Services' Program Managers and Application Developers Service Management's
Production Support and Configuration Management Role requirements Must have
experience in Fixed Income Must have Brokerage Experience Significant
experience in testing Client Server applications Significant experience in
testing Mainframe applications Strong communication and follow up skills
(verbal/written).
Ability to decipher requirements and test scope when documentation is
unavailable Work independently.
Attention to details. Hard working, self motivated, and assertive excellent
organizational skills
Ability to create screen designs/mock-ups, and report definitions Skills in
Microsoft Office, ability to create documentation and presentations, develop
spreadsheets Mercury Quality Center Extensive SQL background Visio and MS
Project Skills SDLC Managerial experience N/A Academic and professional
qualifications
BA/BS Recommended QA certification a plus (from PMI, QAI, IIST or other
organization) NASD Series 7 Language skills English (Spoken and Written)
Personal attributes 6-10 years QA/IT experience in the financial industry
with basic understanding of portfolio management, investment management and
daily data processing (holdings, trades, income, journals)
