ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Order Management System Design and Build (65%)
· Participate in Design and Build of different OMS Finance
payment processing modules—Credit card ,paypal, BML , shopping card
processing
· Define and implement corresponding Data Models
· Write PL/ SQL stored procedures
· Write jobs necessary for the OMS processes
· Document work efforts
2. OMS Ongoing Support & Maintenance (25%)
· SQL tuning
· Debug SQL statements, PL/SQL code
· Participate in the SC processes troubleshooting /
investigations
· Provide necessary support of the SC data
· Respond quickly to critical requests
· Provide 24/7support, with a one-week on-call rotation every
few weeks
· Perform Data analysis
3. Partnership With Lines of Business (10%)
· Support submitted requirements, design, develop, test and
support applications
· Support Business requests for reports and data changes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Competencies: Skills, knowledge, & abilities:
Functional Competencies:
· Excellent understanding of Oracle technology and SQL tuning
· Unix Shell scripting
· Good debugging skills
· Ability to gather, synthesize and drive resolution of
projects from a cross-functional team.
· Knowledge of Java and Perl preferred
Interpersonal Competencies:
· Ability to learn quickly
· Ability to work both independently and as a team member
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Ability to get results with tactical execution and attention
to detail.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
Some of the Duties:
· Keeping tech lead/manager informed of progress, issues, and
changes
· Acting as a technical lead on large cross functional
projects
· Communication with cross functional team, manager, PM group,
specific functional groups
· Mentor junior team members
· Oversee/actively participate in project lifecycle from
requirements gathering to design, implementation and post-production
support
Leadership Competencies:

· Understanding which items/projects are critical and ability
to escalate problems appropriately.
· Ability to turn problems into opportunities

· Ability to oversee and enforce technical sanity of the

2) Experience:
· 5+ years of Database Development with Oracle database
(version 9 or higher)
· Working knowledge of any of DB Development tools (SQL
Station, PL/SQL Developer, Toad, SQL Navigator)
· Solid SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, shell scripting experience
· Familiarity with Oracle Advance Queuing, Replication,
DBMS_JOBS
· Familiarity with source control systems, preferably CVS
· Familiarity with java, perl is a plus
3) Minimum educational level:
· BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
4) Physical Requirements:
· Provide 24/7 support, with one-week on-call rotation every
few weeks
