As a Storage Administrator you work as part of a team that provides
operational support for storage systems and requirements in the Corporate
Datacenter. The Storage Administration team is also responsible for
communicating to management the operational status of the storage
environment including performance, capacity, availability, failure rates,
and other performance metrics. To be successful you will need a strong
technical orientation; be a creative problem solver; be motivated to advance
in the field; and work well in a team-oriented environment. You will have
the opportunity in this entry-level position to build your technical and
team participation skills will contributing positively to department goals
and objectives
Job Summary:
As a Storage Administrator you work as part of a team that provides
operational support for storage systems and requirements in the Corporate

environment including performance, capacity, availability, failure rates,
and other performance metrics. To be successful you will need a strong

in the field; and work well in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of:
TCP/IP networking
NFS
NIS
DNS
Unix Account Management
File permissions
- 3 to 5 years of experience with Unix operating systems shell scripting.
- Efficient user of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook
and Visio.
- Ability to follow and adhere to policies departmental procedures and
standards.
- Knowledge of Solaris, Redhat and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of WAN data replication techniques.
- Ability to work a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience
is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience, including Unix
experience.
- A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer
Sciences, or related technical field is required; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex
technical tasks.
- Knowledge of NetApp technologies is preferred.
- Experience in a large data center with multiple terabytes of storage.
