We have a new need open within the education industry for an Infrastructure Analyst to start next week. The ideal scenario is to have someone local to Grand Rapids, MI as this requires an onsite presence 3-4 days / week. If not, someone in Detroit, Chicago, within a few hours’ drive, is acceptable. Hotel and driving expenses will be covered. End date is June 30th, extension for right candidate. Bill rate: $50/hr Max Local to MI/IL preferred · Will perform a wide range of system administration duties on database, application, and SharePoint farms including install, debug, maintain, upgrade, and general support · Will work to set up different Authentication mechanisms on SharePoint and Non-SharePoint environments · Will evaluate, test, and deploy all software upgrades to the server farm infrastructure as needed · Will collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes · Will research, evaluate, and recommend system technologies to support business requirements · Will proactively monitor servers, applications, and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability · Will work closely with the development team to provide end-user support and issue resolution · Will create and maintain documentation for all infrastructure processes and procedures · Needs a good knowledge of SharePoint technology (e.g. SharePoint Topologies) · Needs a good understanding of Active Directory and Kerberos authentication · Needs knowledge on installing SharePoint on a virtual environment such as VMWare · Needs good IT Networking skills.
