This position will primarily be administration - setting up and creating and
architecting new sites in 2007 (any beta experience with 2010 is a plus),
etc. 2-3 yrs experience
Will require little development in the role, but development experience is
highly desired / .Net (dev is less than 20%)
2-3 years of IIS is required
MS Project Server, Portfolio Server are are highly desired.
Windows Server 2003/2008 is required.
Additional details:
This position is for a System Engineer focused on implementing and
supporting the Microsoft SharePoint, Portfolio Server, and Project Server
application platforms.
This position needs to be able to provide unparalleled Customer Service to
both Business Customers and Infrastructure Customers.
Needs to be able to evaluate, develop, customize, install, implement and
maintain key system software components, according to Customer/system
requirements.
Must have 2-3 years SharePoint experience (2007+)
Must have 2-3 years IIS webserver experience
Must be experienced in the Microsoft SharePoint authentication/authorization
models.
Needs to have experience using SharePoint as a project collaboration tool.
Including integrating project data from other sources (test system, source
control system, etc.)
Needs to have experience in supporting a large number of sites and
automating administrative duties.
Needs to have 2-3 years .Net develoment experience to provide small
customizations to SharePoint platform.
Experience in MS Project Server is highly desired
Needs to have experience with Windows Server 2003/2008
Experience with migrating sites from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2007/2010
is a plus.
Needs to be self motivated and be able to deal with ambiguity.
Must have good communication skills.
Needs to analyze and resolve problems of simple to medium complexity.
Will be required to carry / respond promptly to an on-call pager on a
rotating basis with other System Engineers.
Responsible for immediate response to system software problems.
Needs a basic understanding of root cause analysis procedures.
Provide technical problem resolution for less complex problems without
assistance.

Analyze, design, write program code, test, document, and implement
functionally appropriately, technically sound, and well-integrated
application systems in accordance with Customer requirements, and
organizational methodologies and standards. Respond to production problems
and implement immediate resolution efforts across technology areas.
Project Management:
• Support the organization’s project management policy, practice, and
methodology.
• Provide timely and accurate progress information to project status
reports.
Problem Solving:
• Analyze and resolve problems of simple to medium complexity.
• Research and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution.

Systems Development Engineering:

Qualifications
& Requirements
Education: BS / BA, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, and
/ or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Experience:
• Experience in Information Technology or business environment.

organization.
Core Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of software development, practice, concepts, and
