They'll meet with 3 people. * *MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS: IN THIS ORDER!! *** Market risk experience *Java* *scripting* *Sybase* *Calypso* * * JOB DESCRIPTION This role will work as a key technical developer on significant IT projects for the Market Risk businesses. The ideal candidate will have six plus years of technology experience and traded markets knowledge. Support relationships at a product/service level with the business; Provide technical input for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of HSBC IT systems to supported business units; Develop to defined processes and standards when existing systems are modified and new systems are developed, with the objective of optimizing operational performance, improving quality and achieving excellent levels of risk-management whilst increasing cost-effectiveness; Work with other IT disciplines to define and plan the introduction of new systems or changes to existing systems, identifying costs and requirements and ensuring plans are in place to exploit them; Participate in concurrent projects and resources that vary in scale and complexity to meet changing objectives; Contribute to the smooth running of IT systems by ensuring that problems with production systems and IT services are investigated and resolved efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business; Ensure compliance with all relevant internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management.
