*Job Overview:*

Opening in NYC, NY for a data conversion initiative of Our Client
Performance Unification Platform System, which is primarily written
utilizing COBOL/DB2 Mainframe stored procedures and MF scripting routines.
The successful candidate should have a good track record in designing and
development and be prepared to spend time in understanding the existing
routines and leverage them to develop the conversion routines and finally
take ownership of them. They will be required to demonstrate a mature and
constructive approach to identify technical gaps (if any) from the current
state to the future state of converting the data to the target platform.



The Performance Unification Platform (PUP) System is part of the Global
Wealth Management Technology group and provides the business with a global
platform for providing calculations on investment performance related funds
for its transactional and historical client and account data.  This fairly
large system (target operating system) continues to be enhanced, as new
functional requirements and gaps are drafted for the conversion initiative.



*Duties & Responsibilities:*

Duties will include

   - Lead the design and development of the data conversion utilities as per
   the functional requirements
   - Communication with functional folks to analyze/address any technical
   constraints or issues.
   - Understand the current code components and appropriately leverage them
   for future development activities/ Participating in test execution cycles
   - Understand the current infrastructure landscape and appropriately lead
   and implement code components to handle huge volumes of data/Regression &
   Performance testing
   - Interact with other technology groups, as needed
   - Coordinate with developers located in different geographic regions and
   review the deliverables for quality
   - Able to lead teams and manage schedule, tasks and activities remotely.
   - Able to interact with customers and appropriately provide status as and
   when required.



*Skill, Experience & General information Required:*

Basic Technical Requirements

   - COBOL/Mainframe/DB2 (8-10 years plus).
   - Mainframe scripting (8-10 years plus).
   - Strong programming skills (8-10 years plus)
   - Able to understand the existing code components and appropriately
   leverage them for the current conversion requirements.

Desirable Skills

   - Exposure to the Wealth Management Industry/ Fund Investment
   Performance.
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*2. SILVERLIGHT / WPF .NET DEVELOPER*

*Location – Chicago,IL*

*Rate - $45/hour*

*Duties & Responsibilities:*

Development duties will include

   - Responsible for the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering
   through implementation of IT functional solutions
   - Communication with users to gather requirements and analyze/address
   issues
   - Investigating and fixing bugs / Participating in test execution cycles
   - Coordinate and team with users and developers located in different
   geographic regions


  Skill, Experience & General information Required:

Candidates to be considered must have prior professional experience with
Silverlight 2/3 or WPF, in addition to possessing at least 2 - 5 years of
experience in the following:



Technical Skills

·         Silverlight 2/3, WPF (.NET 3.0/3.5)

·         Object-oriented analysis & design (OOAD)

·         Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (knowledge of the CLR, BCL, etc.)

·         Intermediate-level to Expert-level competency in C#

·         ASP.NET - Web Forms, AJAX, etc.

·         XML and Web Services



Experience with the following is a big plus:

·         UML and other modeling tools

·         Design Patterns - MVC, MVP, Gang of Four (GoF)

·         Service-oriented architectures

·         Advanced C# - LINQ, Lambda Expressions, Dependency Injection

·         ADO.NET Entity Framework and/or Data Services

·         Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)

·         SQL Server 2008

Desirable Skills

   - Exposure to insurance underwriting industry
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
