Role: Sr. SQL Server DBA Location: Chevy Chase, MD Duration: 3 Month Contract The Open Systems DBA team is looking for a Sr. SQL Server DBA with minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration to support in-house and COTS applications. Requirements: . Production support experience in SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008 . Database mirroring and log shipping are critical requirements for this position . DTS/SSIS packages . The candidate must have a background in 24X7 production on-call support . SQL Server database performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting . Database security . T-SQL development and stored procedures . Database backup and recovery . Must be a good team player with a strong team concept, process oriented, and self motivated . Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Desired: . Net programming capability. . Please note that the .Net skill set is not required, but would be helpful as we have a little work we would like to get done on a GUI interface we have to a SQL Server database owned by the DBAs.
