*Title: Security Analyst Position: 1 Duration: 12 Months Location: Lancing, MI (Local or Nearby only)* *Rate: $40-45/hr Interview: Immediate* *Security Analyst * Services include LAN, WAN, Extranet, Internet, Security, and Monitoring and Troubleshooting, in a large complex network environment supporting over 50,000 client endpoints, 3 hosting centers, spanning 5 security zones, and remote clients. ** ** *Job Duties to include: * Plans and assesses the security of an agencys system and platform(s). Plans and executes the steps to determine the security requirements of a project for an agencys platform(s). Assesses the risk of a program area based on likelihood of threat and impact of security breach. Analyzes and recommends plans to test the effectiveness of a security implementation. Evaluates an agencys security plan/implementation against all Customer security standards and recommends steps to align the agency with these standards. Applications Security - Maintains application platform security standards. Implements upgrades and modifications to existing information security hardware and software. Is also responsible for disaster recovery and business continuation planning. Network Security - Troubleshoots network access problems and implements network security policies and procedures. Ensures network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Manages all network security systems for LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice system. Candidate should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within information technology. ** ** *Candidates must possess and define in their resumes where they have obtained knowledge in the following requirements: * 3+ years experience identifying and accessing security requirements and making recommendations 3+ years customer service experience working in an Enterprise Government Organization 3+ years experience with Network Security CheckPoint / Cisco Platform 3+ years experience with Network Security hardware upgrades Required Bachelor Degree in area of specialty and/or 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. ** ** *The following are considered minimal qualifications for all consulting roles: * A minimum 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field or work experience equivalent, Past consulting experience as the individual will often be acting in a consulting role and as a technical advisor, A willingness to perform some level of travel to customer locations (80%) The ability to articulate solutions to such diverse constituencies as project managers, clients, business stakeholders and engineers, and to coordinate (with both project management and engineering) major systems events such as application upgrades, launches, load tests and deployments, A willingness to learn new technologies and their applications in the enterprise, The ability to quickly understand and be able to articulate business impacts of technical decisions and drive solutions to specific business problems through the effective use of technology.
