POSITION TITLE: Middleware Engineer (Oracle SOA Developer and OSB
Administrator)
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
With minimal or no supervision, develops integration services and
administers Oracle SOA platform. The Middleware Engineer will work with the
project team including internal and 3rd party suppliers to analyze and
solution the middleware integration requirements. This person will partner
with application developers and solution experts in architecture decisions
and design solutions to meet the integration requirements. Heavy focus
expected on Oracle Service Bus/BEA AquaLogic Service Bus architecture and
configuration as well as infrastructure/environment configuration. This
person will work with cross functional teams across both IT and Business
Units and must have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
. Solution designing and architecting of Oracle SOA suite for enterprise
integration.
. Preparation and/or review of Architecture and Technical Design documents.
. Enhance/maintain the reusable service repository, design patterns and
reusable technical components (e.g. Web Services and SOA components,
BPEL/ESB processes, data transformations, error handling, auditing, logging
etc.).
. Collaborate with the infrastructure team, DBAs, technical leads,
developers and business for design activities as it relates to interfaces to
Oracle SOA Middleware.
. Must have extensive experience in development of .NET, JAVA, WSDL and OSB
processes in a Service Oriented Architecture.
. Collaborate with architects from to ensure technical integrity of
end-to-end solutions.
. Maintain and enforce the application architecture and alignment with the
enterprise standards.
Job Qualifications:
. Must have designed and implemented (hands-on) with Oracle/BEA FMW/SOA tech
stack
. Must have installed and configured FMW/SOA and Weblogic App Server on
Windows Platform
. 6-10 years experience in building complex enterprise integrations and
integration patterns.
. 4-5 years of SOA design experience with solid exposure to business systems
such as JD Edwards.
. 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Service Bus 10gR3/BEA
AquaLogic Service Bus.
. 3-5 years of experience in Oracle SOA tools and technologies including but
not limited to J2EE, Oracle Weblogic Server, Oracle Web Services Manager,
Oracle Enterprise Repository, Oracle Service Registry, Oracle BAP and Oracle
adapters for JD Edwards.
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
. Practical experience in implementing projects in SDLC and RUP or
equivalent methods.
. Good understanding in SOA and non-SOA governance tools and technologies.
