********IMMEDIATE NEED *********** * * *Project Manager- SOA,Websphere,Insurance Domain * *Location :* Novoto,CA *Duration :* 6 + months ** *Job Description : * Emphasis for this project manager assignment is - prefer PMP certified project manager - advanced Microsoft Project 2007 skills - preferred experience with Microsoft Project Server - requires experience working with web based development and variety of development metholodogies - requires experience working with mainframe applications and interfaces to mainframe legacy systesm; experience with middleware, SOA, Websphere/ WAS a plus. - requires experience working with IT SDLC development on large, complex projects; experience with CMMI preferred - ability to work in a fast paced development environment with frequent releases running simultaneously *Responsibilities:* General duties include, but are not limited to: • Managing complex/large strategic and enterprise-wide projects. • Creating, planning, maintaining and directing project schedules. • Monitoring the project from initiation phase through to delivery and closure. • Managing project risks and issues effectively. • Maintaining effective communication that addresses the information needs at various levels within and outside of the company. • Interfacing with project stakeholders to manage their expectations. • Assigning and monitoring work of project team members. • Working with IT Managers and Executives to assure complete and appropriate project resourcing. • Assuring compliance with company IT governance, process and standards policies and procedures as well as project management polices and standards. • Assuring all work is done according to required quality standards and in accordance with required governance and process compliance (CMMI) requirements. Demonstrated experience in managing multiple large vendors and entity groups to drive deliverables and clear accountability • Experience working with implementation of web based software, platform integration and interface software and mainframe legacy systems *Requirements:* • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools • Knowledge of Microsoft Project 2007 / Project PRO and Project Server desired. • Five to seven years of experience as a project manager successfully delivering complex infrastructure and software development projects. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work with diverse groups. • Ability to work as a member of a project leadership team. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. • Vendor management experience with off shore components required. • Knowledge of CMMI processes desirable. • Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable. • Property and causality insurance or Financial Services experience helpful.
