Competencies
• Good understanding of full product, project and system lifecycle
methodologies and processes
• Good oral/written communication and interpersonal relationship
skills
• Able to create a work plan which can be executed with minimal
supervision
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
• Ability to be both an analytical & conceptual thinker – strategic as
well as pragmatic
• Openness to learning new concepts and methodologies
Professional/Technical Skills
Mandatory
• 5+ years hands on expertise with Core Java 1.5 / 1.6, UML, and
design patterns
• 2+ years hands on expertise with Java Swing
• Hands on experience with JVM and Garbage Collection tuning
• Experience working with Apache/Tomcat Application Server
• Knowledge of writing and consuming Java-based web services
• Demonstrable expertise with JAR, WAR, and EAR files
• Demonstrable expertise with relational databases and SQL
• Demonstrable expertise in debugging large complex computer programs
Desirable
• Good knowledge of App/Web Server (Apache Tomcat, Axis, ActiveMQ,
Servlets API, JMS, JMX, Web Services), J2EE, Adobe Flex, Spring, XML
and FIX (FAST)
• Experienced working with TCP and UDP communications protocols
• Experienced with network trace capture and analysis
• Experienced with real-time messaging systems, data communications
technologies
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access,
Project
Private Comments Must be strong core Java. Must know semifore,
collections, Ques, High performance multi threaded apps. Need to be
able to get down and dirty, be able to work with the frameworks.
