Below position is an urgent, kindly forward your updated resume ASAP <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] Title: Storage Admin 6 month contract in Omaha, NE Job Description: This role is responsible for the installation, administration, troubleshooting, and upgrade of a large multi-site Netbackup environments running on UNIX and Windows servers. This role will support backup environment for over 3,000 clients and 5 PetaBytes of data. This role will also install, and configure NetBackup software on clients, Media, and Master Servers. The Storage Engineer will manage physical and virtual library systems, setup backup policies, and troubleshoot SAN and network issues. Finally, this role will be responsible for building backup policies, creating backup schedules, monitoring of backup progress, and troubleshooting hardware and software related issues. Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will possess the following: - Self-motivated, reliable individual with the ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously. - A strong background in backup and recovery in an enterprise environment with Linux, UNIX (Solaris/AIX) and Windows experience. Prior system administration experience is a plus. - Experience with Symantec/ Veritas Netbackup (version 4.5, 5.1, and 6.X), including IP-based and SAN-based backups, SSO, vaulting, encryption, replication, tape pipelining, and deduplication. - Experience configuring fiber channel tape and disk environments consisting of IBM tape libraries, SUN/STK tape devices, and EMC EDL disk subsystems. - Previous experience with NDMP, Netbackup VBR, and NOM useful. - Responsible for maintaining backup documentation and standards. - Will be required to participate in rotating 24x7x365 on call duties. - Understanding of IP networking including routing and firewall rule - Work with project teams doing data center consolidation including the relocation of systems from remote locations to go forward sites. Additional Requirements: Expert in operating systems, subsystems, and Symantec Vendor products. 6+ years related IT experience. Associate's / Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
