Candidates must be deadline driven, willing to work with several
technologies and focused on achieving results. The following outlines the
essential functions and qualifications:*

Configure and maintain environments
Implement utilities and tools
Assemble statistics based on testing and publish for team review
Document existing applications and interfaces
Create XML schemas for client consumption
Troubleshoot issues with search applications
Work with engineering staff to implement solutions for open issues
Participate in design and code reviews
*Essential skills and experience*
*
*
5+ years experience working in software development experience.
Strong working knowledge of Java
Knowledge of .Net is a plus
Knowledge of a common scripting language such as Perl or Python
Good fundamental and hands-on knowledge of relational databases such as MS
SQL Server, Oracle and or MySQL.
Understanding of XML, XPATH, XML schema and related technologies is
required.
Scalability, performance tuning and profiling experience is a plus
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows 2003
Experience with MS Office is required
Experience with ClearQuest and Perforce are plusses
Knowledge of data structures, search index technologies (such as
Lucene/AltaVista) and or concept extraction and matching technologies are a
strong plus.
Experience working with globally distributed cross-functional teams
Fluency in English – with excellent communication skills (written and
verbal)
