* Responsible for management of technology upgrade projects and
tracking application development and infrastructure activities through
direct and indirect staff.
* Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical
direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
* Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project objectives are met in a
timely manner.
* Help manage updates to Prot folio status reports across development
teams.
* Possesses in-depth knowledge of principals, theories, practices, and
techniques for managing activities related to planning, managing and
implementing systems analysis and applications development projects.
* Manages multiple technology projects with greater impact on the IT.
* Consistently delivers projects on time and within budget, meeting
high quality standards and customer expectations.
* Strong ability to analyze business unit technology needs, dissecting
complex problems and suggesting process oriented solutions.
* Creates project plans and teamwork assignments, identifies resource
needs, directs daily work efforts, and tracks key project milestones.
* Strong ability to track and monitor project execution, regularly
updating project plans and status reports.
* Actively identifies any issues or risks associated with a project,
escalating them and possibly implementing mitigation strategies for
risk prevention and timely resolution.
* May serve as departmental liaison to interdepartmental or
interdivisional project initiatives.
* Negotiates deliverables from initial requirements to final
implementation across multiple business units / functional areas.
* Performs human resource management responsibilities, e.g., hiring,
performance management.
* May manage and/or mentor project management staff.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools,
resource management practices, and change management techniques.
* Strong grasp of human resource management techniques.
* Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and troubleshooting
skills.
* Coordinates moderate numbers of staff to manage one or more cross
functional projects of medium to high complexity.
* Serves as back-up for manager.
* Responds to direct questions from IT Management or the business on
the effects of emerging technologies on product development, business
process and direction.


Required education/experience:

* Bachelor*s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field.
* Project Management Certification preferred.
* 8 plus years of IT work experience and project management.
* Excellent understanding of IT and its alignment with business
processes.
* Excellent understanding of SDLC.
* Manages multiple projects or work streams.
* Strong human resource management skills
