Role: Java Developer with Wallstreet or top Finacial Clients
Location: NY, NJ
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description:
Develop core Java server-side components for front office trading
application
Work closely with supported businesses including Trading, Operations and
Application Management, in providing goal-oriented solutions
Drive business requirements to implement functionality independently as well
as across a global team
Participate in architectural design, as well as preparation of documentation
and proposals
Required Skills:
Experience with server side development using Core Java and shell scripting
required. Knowledge of Perl
Experience with relational databases (Sybase, Oracle, TimesTen), SQL
and persistence technologies / app framework (JDBC, Spring)
Understanding of messaging/middleware technologies (Tibco RV, JMS), a
plus
Knowledge of fixed income products and trade processing a huge plus.
Experience with front-office trading systems and understanding of cash
credit trade process flow including booking, valuation, P&L, sales trade
matching, settlement and STP processing, a plus
Will look at individuals with front office trading systems in other
financial products as well.
Would consider non-financial, individual has to be extremely strong
technically from a top CS school.
Results-oriented, self-starter with positive "can-do" attitude
Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate thoughts,
designs, and implementations in both written and verbal form
