*UI Designer/Developer* *6 Months* *St.Louis, MO* ** Please mark a CC to [email protected] or [email protected] along with your Resume submittal. ** *INTRODUCTION *The UI Designer/Developer works on multi-disciplinary teams to design, prototype and build rich, standards based, accessible web sites and web applications with a User Centered Design focus. The designer will work towards actively improving the usability, usefulness and desirability of web based properties in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment. Designers will need to balance both creative and analytical skills as well as leverage collaborative partners including Users, Business Owners, Business Analysts and Front-End and Back-End Developers. *RESPONSIBILITIES *- Work closely with partners to storyboard, mockup, and prototype web based applications. - Collaborate with Front-End developers in taking coded prototypes from concept to completed application code. - Ensure standards compliance, usability, and accessibility of the User Interface Design and completed application code. - Collaborate with team members in the definition of User Interface Design best practices and standards. - Conduct ongoing research into best practices for User Interface Design/Development, Usability and Accessibility. - Advocate for the user in design discussions where the user is not present. - Produce documentation including design document, user personas, site maps, task flow analysis, and other pertinent User Interface specific artifacts. - Participate in User Interface code reviews. - Balance user needs, business requirements, and project schedules to ensure the highest quality product on time and on budget. *REQUIREMENTS *- 5+ years experience in web design and development - Fluency with standard web technologies including XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS - Fluency with usability and accessibility practices and methodologies - Fluency with web graphics design and production capabilities using Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator - Experience with iterative development methodologies such as Agile, Lean, or RUP - Experience with version control systems such as CVS or SVN - Experience with modern IDEs such as Eclipse, Aptana Studio, or NetBeans - Creative approach to problem solving, issue resolution, and innovation - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to actively collaborate with others in a cross-functional team - Strong communication skills including written and verbal presentation skills - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality work under tight time constraints - Bachelors degree or High school diploma plus extensive work history *NICE TO HAVE *- Experience with XML, XSLT, and XPATH- Java Development experience ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Note: We Work on Net 30 Basis, Invoicing 30 Days & Payment 30 Days] Regards...!!
