I can accept only local Dallas area consultants for this 6+ month contract Rate is $35 all inclusive Skills: Agile Methodology Defect Tracking Tools * HP Quality Center * Microsoft Visio * Project Life Cycle Methodologies * Sharepoint Testing Methodologies * The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality for the company website's new feature releases to production. Plan and manage testing efforts for the company website's new development projects. Work with other QA Leads to develop testing processes and procedures to ensure the quality and efficiency of the testing group. This position works in a team environment with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers and Testers to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of software solutions. Responsibilities: . Develop and implement test strategies . Create test plans, create and execute test cases, report test results and project progress . Determine test environment requirements and ensure readiness for testing . Identify and ensure appropriate test data is available to support testing . Create and document testing standards . Create software quality metrics and generate reports . Coordinate execution of testing activities . Manage workload to keep the team on schedule . Provide guidance to the test team to ensure proper execution of test plans and adherence to quality standards . Utilize Hewlett Packard Quality Center for Test Planning, Test Execution, Defect Tracking and Reporting . Work closely with developers to ensure quick resolution of defects . Ensure all code released to production systems meet or exceed pre-defined quality standards . Coach and mentor team members Qualifications: . Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities . Thorough understanding of standardized testing methodologies and quality assurance processes . Previous experience in all stages of application testing, including functional, usability and regression testing of web based applications . Must have a solid testing background with experience in developing testing artifacts . Able to analyze and translate requirements and business design into test cases . Excellent communication and writing skills . Analytical skills to support problem solving initiatives . Must be able to clearly and concisely describe problems and recommended solutions . Must be able to interact effectively with various levels of management . Must be able to effectively understand and communicate with technical resources . Previous experience as team lead, supervisor or management role using coaching and training skills for ongoing development of team members . Self starter with high level of initiative .
