Summary: Senior developer for a mixed onshore/offshore small team
responsible for code development, enhancement, peer review of others' code
for a warehouse scanner application written in .NET Compact Framework. Will
also define & document design patterns, build unit tests, and coordinate
with delivery lead enforcement of application lifecycle management standards
(coding conventions, defect management, build automation, etc.).
Education/Experience
o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required
o 5-7 years related experience required
Responsibility level
o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor
o Comfortable in a leadership role for a small development team
Skills
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer
service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive
performance feedback (Required)
o Knowledge of .NET Compact Framework v.3.0/3.5
o Familiar with databases & SQL (SQL Compact Framework preferred)
o Experience integrating with web services
o Experience troubleshooting (log analysis, debugging, etc.)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Develop new code & modify existing to meet new requirements and fix bugs
in the system
o Review new and existing code and give feedback to developers and identify
areas for refactoring
o Define, document, and communicate design patterns, framework usage, and
coding conventions
o Assist delivery lead in breaking down development tasks and assigning to
development team
