Required Details: Application project lead for the Ab Initio batch processing of the Adjustment Module System (AMS). AMS is a complex application which automates data collection, calculation, and bill generation for retrospective adjustments of contracts sold by Chartis Insurance. In addition to the Ab Initio batch, there is a Java-based front-end user interface. The candidate will provide technical guidelines and leadership to other developers on the team. Their responsibilities encompass the day-to-day production support as well as the development of new functions as enhancements within the maintenance budget or as separately funded projects. She/he will be responsible for understanding the Ab Initio graphs which comprise the AMS batch process. The individual will be trained to understand the business functions being supported by the application. She/he will need to collaborate with coworkers to understand a highly complex calculation engine, not a typical ETL application. The candidate will: - Establish assignments for developers - Develop project plans & estimates - Build Ab Initio knowledge (on top of a competent skill level; GDE 1.14 is preferred) - Be experienced with database relational models, stored procedures, and views. Work with DB2 UDB is preferred. - Have familiarity with Unix and shell scripts - Have broad experience with change management processes - Possess designer and developer skills in order to participate in hands-on production support and development - Have strong analytical and communication skills - Have experience in insurance and / or financial systems Experience: - 4 - 7 years of progressive programming and relevant project lead experience Regards, Gautam Thakuria _______________________________ SR.
