Adapting testing efforts to meet project needs. Developing and write automated testing scripts. Serving as second or third tier support for production issues. Working with System Testing group to help develop performance testing scenarios. Participating actively in process improvement projects. * * *Required skills:* In-depth manual, black-box testing experience. Strong knowledge of SQL (preferably Oracle). Significant test-writing or development experience using a modern, object-oriented language such as Python, Ruby, C# or Java. Working knowledge of Linux and Windows-based servers. Flexibility to work with a variety of QA testing tools and languages and willingness to evaluate and experiment with new tools when needed in projects. Demonstrated ability to test applications with little documentation. Excellent analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated flexibility to explore and adopt new workflows. Ability to work collaboratively with Business Analysis, Development and Product Support resources. Strong sense of ownership and self-sufficiency. Understanding of testing methodology: test case design, planning, and risk assessment. Experience with defect analysis, reporting and tracking. * * *Preferred skills:* Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies is a plus. Experience testing both web-based and Windows GUIs is a plus. Experience with automated testing of web-based applications is a plus.
