Job Title : Systems Engineer Location : OMAHA, NE Duration : 12 Months contract Must have: *Solid working knowledge of both Windows and Unix file and directory structures, commands, command-line interfaces and utilities such as Compress. *Solid Unix shell and/or Perl scripting and Windows bat file skills *Good understanding of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) & Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), in both the Unix and Windows environments, and ability to set up and execute both FTP & SFTP sessions. *Detailed orientation, to ensure accurate translation of customer requirements into technical functionality. *Conceptual understanding of job scheduling, including dependencies, job sequencing and alerting on abnormal conditions. *Innovative analytical thinker, applies technical knowledge/creativity to deliver best possible results, not merely satisfactory results. *Understanding of computer resource utilization and measurement *Very strong troubleshooter *Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. *Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, to facilitate interactions with business customers and members of other T2 teams. *Familiarity with SQL-compliant databases and SNMP a plus *Familiarity with GIS (Gentran Integration Suite) a strong plus.
