We currently have a 3-year on-site opening available in Kearneysville, WV for a Solaris Consultant supporting the IRS. Here is a description of the job requirement duties: * Server Administration * Capacity Analysis * System Modeling * System capacity and performance monitoring * Storage performance and utilization monitoring * Weekly status report * Configuration of SUN servers * Troubleshoot developer programming issues * Work day-to-day with ITI staff to troubleshoot system issues * Solaris 10 training for new employees * Coordinate all of ITI tickets with SUN * Create government equipment lists for new purchases * Create hardware requirement documents for power requirements * Support projects on production issues * Sun equipment and system administration tasks include: * Conducting systems engineering tasks, * Providing technical assistance to DB administrator, and other IRS personnel, * Veritas Volume Manager and File System, * Veritas Cluster File system and high availability * Web Server Farm configuration & management, * Coding routine * Scheduled procedures as part of overall system documentation.
