ETL Developer /Informatica
Consultant will perform a variety of job functions.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Scienceor 8 years related work experience.
· A Minimum 5 (five) years experience developing Informatica
Additional Requirements: -Informatica Administrator Level preferred
-Strong problem-solving and metadata skills
- Broad-based knowledge of information technologies.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management on a
business and technical level including the ability to express complextechnical concept in business term
- Good organizational management skills, able to operate as part ofcross-functional project team that will organize, plan and executevarying scale projects from vision to implementation
Responsibilities:
Work with key members of various departments to determine thedefinitions of essential data elements.
Understands:
a. Data Warehousing theory and techniques
b. ETL techniques, including the development of staging areas,
recoveries, data cleansing, fact and dimension tables, slowly
changing dimensions, conformations, and the use of surrogate vs. natural keys’. Advanced SQL
d. That the end user is the primary reason for the technology, andtherefore strives for full customer satisfaction.
· Develop robust and precise ETL routines to load the DataWarehouse from various sources.
· Designs and writes the scripts required to extract, transform, load
(ETL), clean, and move data and metadata so it can be loaded into adata warehouse, data mart, or data store.
· Works with the Business Intelligence Analyst to identify andunderstand source systems to meet business requirements.
· Maps source system data to data warehouse models.
· Develops and tests for extraction, transformation, and load ETLprocesses.
· Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with ETLprocesses.
· Adapts ETL processes to accommodate changes in sourcesystems and new business user requirements
· Responsible for troubleshooting ETL job failures during regularbusiness and after hours.
· Responsible for developing custom scripts to support ETL andother special needs.
· Will act individually or as a member of a project team to formulatebusiness requirements and providing solutions design.
· Will be joint responsible for the success of the EDW/BusinessIntelligence solution by working together with the other teammembers.
