Thomson Reuters has a 12+ month contract for a Senior Project Manager in New York City. The hiring manager is seeking a senior level PM with strong communication skills and the ability to manage a strong team. Candidates MUST be local to New York. The manager said there is some flexibility with the rate - if you have a very senior project manager who does cost more, please send them. *Description:* The New Ventures team will leverage* **digital media* assets to create new businesses for other divisions within Thomson Reuters. The first business is focused on building a bridge between our* **Media division* and the Investment and Advisory division's wealth management business segment. The vision is to create the most trustworthy, reliable and useful wealth management proposition in the United States, combining financial information with advice, community and transactional capabilities to better serve the needs of the increasing number of self directed/lightly advised investors. *Primary responsibilities:* Manage project teams in a cross divisional, matrixed organization for projects involving cross-functional groups focused on the delivery of an* ** online* destination site and white labeled solutions. Directs, supervises, and governs corporate projects. Reviews proposals to determine costs, timeline, funding, staffing requirements, and goals. Oversees the work of project managers and their project teams. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
