Position : Oracle Application Architect
Location: North Jersey

Job description Skills :
1. 10+ years of demonstrated leadership in architecting and
implementing solutions for enterprise scale applications, preferably
in the financial services industry
2. Solid understanding of the challenges driving Enterprise
Architecture Programs within large organizations, with global exposure
a decided advantage
3. Effective organizational and cultural skills to drive and affect
major architecture change efforts
4. Capable of forging effective partnerships and relationships with
both line-of-business architecture and application development groups
5. Broad and in-depth knowledge of effective information technology
solutions for the financial services industry
6. Ability to discuss information technology in business terms
7. Solid experience operating in a complex information technology
environment
8. Demonstrated experience with System Development Lifecycle Methods
(SDLC) and Architecture Development processes
9. Extensive depth and breadth of knowledge and experience with
various technologies such as J2EE, .NET, and Open Source, as well as
enterprise application integration products
10. Solid knowledge and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
(SOA) and Software as a Service (SaaS) concepts
Fit/Implications:
This candidate will be part of an enterprise architecture organization
in Client and will report directly to the Chief Enterprise Architect.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Provides the overall guidance and structure for creating and
maintaining Enterprise Application Architecture (EAA)
2. Facilitates the reference application architectures that guide the
design of individual application systems to be deployed, their
interactions, and their relationships to company’s foundation business
capabilities
3. Lead the analysis of the current application architecture
environment to identify critical deficiencies and recommend solutions
for improvement.
4. Lead the analysis of application development trends and market
trends to determine their potential impact on the EAA
5. Develop a communication plan and process for adopting the EAA
across all Lines of Business
6. Lead the documentation and publication of application architecture
patterns, best practices, standards and policies for Application
Architecture
7. Assist with designing the governance associated with ensuring EAA
compliance
8. Develop detailed metrics and reporting to support the value of the
EAA
9. Promote speed, agility, and flexibility in the future-state
Application Architecture
10. Lead a virtual team for Application Architecture across the all
Lines of Business
