*Position Title* – Oracle OSB (Oracle Service Bus) Consultant
*Location* – Utica, NY
*Duration* – 2 weeks
*Pay Rate* – $60/hour + expenses ($15/hour)
*Description*
- This resource would be someone that has created services, exposed them
in the service bus, and created the appropriate orchestrations and
monitoring for the services in the OSB. Working with web services and OC4J
would be required.
Mentoring and best practices for the overall usage of the OSB.
Configuration settings and topology options to increase quality of service.
Functionality and usage of various parts with small samples of mediations.
Usage of xquery, etc.
- Create a prototype of a webservice in our DEV environment. Add
username/password security to this webservice. Create a generic error
message which we can use across all services for server unavailability.
Call this generic error message through the webservice and send an email to
notify when the server is unavailable. Look for a particular output in the
response and store it in a database. Enable SLA Alert and Pipeline alert for
this webservice.
- Take the above created webservice and pass its result to another
webservice. Work on different ways to handle exceptions (catch, notify, and
compensate approach), failover handling at the service level, and service
containers (clustering). Mentoring on service logging and monitoring and
how to troubleshoot using service logs. Deploy this webservice in our TEST
environment using best practices. This best practice approach should be
flexible so it can be used throughout our all services.
- Deploy an existing OC4J webservice on the OSB. Implement usage of the
JCA adapter in place of our existing approach of PL/SQL webservices.
