Title: Cognos Developer Duration: 6 Months+ Location: Houston,TX Rate: Open Required Technical Experience and Skills Extensive experience with design and implementation of enterprise data warehouses on Microsoft SQL Server platform (design considerations, star schemas, logical/physical design of relational and dimensional databases, Kimball methodology) Experience implementing the Cognos Business Intelligence v8.3+ platform, including Cognos Framework Manager design. In-depth, hands on experience with design and implementation of Microsoft ETL technologies (design considerations for Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services 2005 (SSIS)). Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Analysis Services 2005. Proficient with SQL statements and MS SQL. Database management. Data Warehousing concepts. DTS migration to MS SQL 2008 (SISS) experience. Platform and tools: Cognos BI8.4, MS SQL Server 2000/2008, OLEDB and ODBC data sources, MS Server 2003. Must Have: 6+ Years of IT experience 3+ years of Experience in Cognos 8 Tools like Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Event Studio. Experience in building models, projects using framework manager is a plus. Strong understanding of DW concepts.
