Telecommunications Network Analyst.  The hiring manager has 3 questions
listed below that need to be asked to your consultant.  Please do NOT send

The hourly rate for this project is $50/hr C2C. ** *

from a telecommunications perspective?

*DESCRIPTION:*

Background/Culture of group:

Data Center Rationalization is a group that "discovers" all
telecommunications plant, voice, data, internally used for product
development or delivery infrastructure, and used for client delivery over
the last mile. This plant is inventoried and audited to determine the
product architecture, who owns the service, and whether or not it is still
required. After which, the Data Center Rationalization group monitors
projects to re-home, remove or upgrade all services out of a data center
space, off of legacy network equipment to allow either data center closure
or the complete removal of all legacy network facilities and components from
a location undergoing modernization.

*Scope of position:*

Perform discovery audits of the Boston and 75 Park Place data centers,
producing complete documentation that will identify all product production,
product delivery, telephony and enterprise infrastructures and the current
state of all voice and data connections to these infrastructures (live,
dead, redundancy).

*Main Responsibilities:*

• Review and verify Thomson Reuters voice and data telecommunications plant
discovery data under terms of the IDCR programs for Boston and 75 Park
Place.

• Develop architectural representations of typical product and
infrastructure delivery models at project site locations.

• Identify circuit usage

• Identify circuit owners

• Liase with circuit owners to arrange projects for re-location or removal •
Track circuit owners through completion of re-location and removal projects
• Report on the projects to upper management through the use of inventory
count down reports



*Required Skills:*

• Minimum three (3) years or related experience in analysis of
telecommunications costs, network infrastructures, Data Center and Client
connection Inventory Management and data / database management & reporting.

• Understanding of current network communications technologies e.g., SONET,
T1, T3, Inter and Local Exchange Carrier distribution. Carrier/Client Last
mile delivery techniques, Client Circuit documentation practices by Carriers
as well as Financial Services Industry.

• Strong analytical skills, verbal, written, and personal communication
skills.

• Experience in MS office products, Excel, Power Point, etc. Including
strong knowledge and capabilities in Spreadsheet manipulations and
reporting.

• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills. Ability to
write clearly, communicate effectively and liaise with various levels of an
organization.



*Desired Skill Set:*

• Awareness of Financial Services Industry players such as Thomson Reuters
as well as National Carriers, such as AT&T, Verizon Business, SBC etc…, a
plus.

• Knowledge of LAN and WAN architectures and Internet Protocols a plus.
