The top three must haves are: 1)Working with offshore development teams a must 2)WCF 3)WPF GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES This hands-on position provides technical leadership for a team involved in the development of upcoming major projects. The developer will specify, design and implement server and client-based technologies. The candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of the software development life cycle and possess good insight into design patterns and designing applications using an OOPS. This person will be responsible for creating and reviewing functional specifications, design documents and technical specifications for other developers on the team. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. The position interacts with Product Management and all Engineering development teams. RESPONSIBILITIES · Design & implement WCF and WPF based application · Write technical specifications · Be the liaison between onshore and offshore .NET development teams · Be a team player and work in conjunction with the Tech lead for the project in identifying and solving issues · Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Integration teams to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. · Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Required: · At least 6 years experience working as a senior software engineer. · Experience working with offshore development. · Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. · Experience working with SQA to develop tests and plan remediation. · Demonstrated ability to produce functional and design specifications with minimal supervision, and attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications. · Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. · Demonstrated experience developing applications and WCF and WPF in C# · Demonstrated experience developing software using Test Driven Development and Unit Tests · In depth understanding of all forms of Interprocess communication, WINSOCK programming and multi-threading · Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing). · Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems. · Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. · Experience in high-performance application development. · Experience building distributed and highly available solutions using message/event driven systems. · Fluency in XML. Desired: · Experience developing communications-based Windows applications (e.g. soft phone) · Prior experience in developing applications for Windows platform COM and Windows based programming · Prior experience developing Rich User interface for Web applications using FLEX / Silverlight · Real-time application development for Windows · Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.
