Hedge fund experience is a plus, not essential. Candidate must have strong, consistent IT experience. Primary skills for a Java/J2EE Expert with strong WebLogic Portal development. BOXI R3 a plus. Candidate must have strong database skills and have background in either Sybase or Oracle. Position is for a Senior Developer/Analyst with strong hands on experience as a senior Java developer for Web Portal and Reporting framework. Candidate will develop and deliver new business requirements in the portal and reporting framework. Essential skills Must include at least 8 years plus experience in building large scale project including design, programming, and implementation of enterprise, client/server and Internet/Intranet systems. Candidate must be able to provide in-depth hands on technical expertise in the following: Web Technologies: J2EE BEA WEBlogic; Oracle, Sybase, JDBC; JSP; Servlets; XML/XSLT Web Services; Web Based Applications; Crystal Report Enterprise BOXI SDK, Core Java; Design Patterns amp; Software Architecture; HTML and Java Script. Candidate must be able to apply technology and business knowledge to solve business problems and must include 8+ years of Java experience as well as 5+ years experience on any J2EE application servers. Weblogic and Weblogic portal servers are preferred. Extensive experience on Crystal Reporting engine/BOXI SDK is a big plus. Candidate must be extremely good in Servlets/JSP/EJB/Javascript with at least 1 to 2 years of JMS experience and ANT and experience in either Oracle or Sybase (writing Stored Procedures ) and at least 2 years experience in Eclipse/Weblogic workshop development environment. Required Technology: Java, Portlets, Serverlet, BEA Weblogic, J2EE, Java Bean, XML, XSL, JavaScript, CORBA, HTML, Perl ,Web Service, UNIX Shell, Web Server (Apache, Microsoft-IIS etc.), SQL, PL Loader, Sun Sparc (Solaris). Bachelors in computer science is required. Preferred skills include Crystal Reports/Business Objects Java API experience, Weblogic Portal Development hands on experience, Hibernate hands on experience, experience in financial applications preferred as well as experience with large scale web applications and hands on in UNIX / Linux environment, with Shell scripting. Candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and team player, with excellent problem solving and communications skills and demonstrate the ability to determine priorities.
